4-6 seater pedicabs can only be approved if they are manufactured or modified by an insured manufacturer or design engineer/fabricator/welder who carries liability insurance.
A certificate of liability insurance from the manufacturer/fabricator/welder, as well as photos of the unit, will be required to gain insurance upon binding/renewal from the insurance carriers.
What are the new requirements for event operations?
For Event Organizers (if insured through us):
We will need a list of all drivers and information 30 days prior to the event.(See Spreadsheet below)
There will be a charge of approximately $150 per event cab being used for the event.
You will be responsible for payment prior to issuance of endorsement.
Changes may be made to the roaster of drivers up to 7 days prior to the event (limited to a maximum of 10% of the total drivers). We will need complete information for any changes.
Why are my calls not being answered?
Due to the volume of inquiries and changes that are occurring, the fastest way to get a response from our office is through email. Calling repeatedly slows down the process significantly. All calls will be responded to via email within 24 hours or via phone within 48 hours.
Why have my rates increased?
Due to the volume of claims nationwide, rates per unit have increased. This is in no way a reflection of your individual claim history, rather the carrier’s way of protecting against such risk.
What are the repercussions if I cancel my policy mid-term?
The policy is written on an annual basis. If you cancel mid-term for a discretionary reason, the carrier may require 100% minimum earned premium upon reinstatement later. If 100% minimum earned premium is required, we must have payment in full before binding coverage. We will not be able to generate a finance agreement.
How do I make my payment?
We are no longer able to facilitate taking monthly payments through our office. If you have financed, you will need to use the “Make a Payment” portal on this site, or call the finance company directly to make that payment.
